Denys de La Patellière was a French film director and screenwriter. He was born in Nantes, France on 8th March 1921 and died in Dinard, France on 21st July 2013, aged 92.

His best films as a film director include Le Salaire du péché (1956), Les Yeux de l'amour (1959), Un taxi pour Tobrouk (1960), Le Tonnerre de Dieu (1965) and Le Tueur (1972), and whose best work as a screenwriter include Les Grandes familles (1958), Les Yeux de l'amour (1959), Un taxi pour Tobrouk (1960) and Le Tonnerre de Dieu (1965).

Denys de La Patellière directed 23 films and scripted 22 films.
