Ivor Novello was a Welsh actor and composer whose birth name was David Ivor Davies. He was born in Cardiff, Wales on 15th January 1893 and died in London, England on 6th March 1951, aged 58.

His best films as an actor include Graham Cutts's The Rat (1925), The Triumph of the Rat (1926), Alfred Hitchcock's Downhill (1927), The Return of the Rat (1929) and Maurice Elvey's comedy I Lived with You (1933).
