Maroun Bagdadi was a Lebanese film director, screenwriter and producer. He was born in Beirut, Lebanon on 21st January 1950 and died in Beirut, Lebanon on 10th December 1993, aged 43.

His best films as a film director include The Martyr (1979), The Story of a Village and a War (1979) and Hors la vie (1991), and whose best work as a screenwriter include Les petites guerres (1982), Hors la vie (1991) and La Fille de l'air (1992).
