Directed by Luca Guadagnino

Crime / Drama / Mystery

Film Synopsis

Marianne Lane is one of the biggest rock stars in the world.  Now she is badly in need of a break, if only to rest her voice, so she jets off for a relaxing holiday on the tranquil Mediterranean island of Pantelleria with Paul, her present partner.  Marianne's hopes of a peaceful few weeks in the son are shattered when her record producer Harry Hawkes shows up unexpectedly, in the company of his daughter Penelope.  It was Harry who first brought Paul and Marianne together, and he now bitterly regrets having done so.  How he would like nothing better than to push Paul aside and reclaim his former lover.  Unfortunately for him, Marianne happens to be perfectly happy with Paul, who she regards as the ideal catch.  Harry isn't so easily deterred, and it isn't long before his daughter is making eyes at Paul...
