A Perfect Day (2015) Directed by Fernando León de Aranoa
Comedy / Drama / War
Film Synopsis
A young Frenchwoman named Sophie travels to a war-torn country in East Europe
to join a humanitarian team. One member of the team, Mambrú,
has become totally disillusioned and wants to head back home. Another,
known as 'B', is unpredictable and often comes up with decisions that are
hard to fathom. Then there is Mambrú's former lover Katya, and
Damir, the interpreter, who is anxious for the war to end. In the course
of their duties, the group comes across a young boy named Nikola and find
themselves with a dilemma on discovering that their only source of drinkable
water is polluted by a dead body...
Franz Kafka's letters to his fiancée Felice Bauer not only reveal a soul in torment; they also give us a harrowing self-portrait of a man appalled by his own existence.
