Film Synopsis

For Sonia Mousse, a hard-pressed mother of four in a high rise apartment in a poor area of Paris, life is a constant struggle.  Her dream is to buy the laundrette where she works, and she has scraped together enough money to make this a reality - and then disaster strikes.   On the day of her daughter's wedding, she learns that her good-for-nothing husband has gambled away all of the money they had put aside for the reception.  As always, the only person to whom Sonia can turn to sort out this mess is herself...
