Belle Dormant (2017)
Directed by Adolfo Arrieta

Comedy / Drama

Film Synopsis

The king of Letonia is far from pleased by the idle pursuits of his son, Prince Egon.  Tired with having nothing to do, the lazy young prince occupies himself by playing his drums whilst contemplating a future expedition into the mysterious kingdom of Kentz.  During a trip in a helicopter, Egon learns that an incredibly beautiful young woman, Sleeping Beauty, now lies in a deep sleep after injuring herself with her spinning wheel.  According to the old legend, the only thing that will awaken her from her deep slumbers is a kiss from a handsome prison.  The king, as pragmatic and unromantic as ever, does nothing to encourage his son's wild fantasies and dismisses this story as a mere fairytale.  Encouraged by his tutor and a friendly archaeologies named Maggie Jerkins, Prince Egon sets out to prove his father wrong.  It isn't long before he discovers that the story of Sleeping Beauty is more than just a legend...
