Tom and his older brother Benjamin set out for Sweden to spend their summer
holidays there with their father. The latter appears convinced that
his younger son has the ability to see things that others cannot. The
brothers readily agree to accompany their father on an expedition up north,
to spend a few days together in a remote lakeside cabin. Their initial
excitement turns to anxiety when they find themselves in a solitary spot
at the heart of a huge forest. As the days pass, Tom's fears grow as
it becomes apparent that their father has no intention of leaving the area...
