Film Synopsis
Philippe and Marion appear to be a perfectly happy couple, still in
love, and with two small children to set the seal on their
relationship. But the first signs of trouble are beginning to
show. They book a holiday together in Venice, but cancel at
the last moment. However, when she comes to develop her
photographs, Marion finds some snaps of Venice. Philippe also
notices something strange in Marion's behaviour. Slowly, the
doubts begin to grow...
With so many great films to choose from, it's nigh on impossible to compile a short-list of the best 15 French films of all time - but here's our feeble attempt to do just that.
From Jean Renoir to François Truffaut, French cinema has no shortage of truly great filmmakers, each bringing a unique approach to the art of filmmaking.
In his letters to his friends and family, Franz Kafka gives us a rich self-portrait that is surprisingly upbeat, nor the angst-ridden soul we might expect.
