A hotel on the French Riviera is having difficulty attracting customers
because it is some way from the main road through the area. The
hotel owner's son-in-law and a singer named Luis, suitor for the hand
of the youngest daughter, have an idea for diverting tourists towards
the hotel. The scheme works and soon the hotel is brimming with
custom, but Luis must set off for Nice to honour an engagement at a
casino.

The greatest French film directors
From Jean Renoir to François Truffaut, French cinema has no shortage of truly great filmmakers, each bringing a unique approach to the art of filmmaking.
In his letters to his friends and family, Franz Kafka gives us a rich self-portrait that is surprisingly upbeat, nor the angst-ridden soul we might expect.
