Film Synopsis
In ancient Rome, Encolpe and Ascylte, two students who live in the
underground district of Suburra and who survive by stealing what they
need, fall out over the young slave Giton. These three find
themselves separated and reunited in different periods of
history. Encolpe attends a party given in honour of the wealthy
freeman Trimalcion. Then, the trio are taken prisoner by the
monstrous Lichas. After Lichas has been assassinated, Encolpe and
Ascylte are set free and spend a peaceful interlude in a fine deserted
house, before they abduct a hermaphrodite with special powers.
Later, Encolpe survives a fierce encounter with the mythical Mionotaur,
but loses his virility in the fight and becomes obsessed with
recovering it...
