Hygiène de l'assassin (1999) Directed by François Ruggieri
Thriller / Drama
Film Synopsis
Not long after being interviewed by a number of journalists,
Prétextat Tach, a Nobel Prize winning writer who has lived the
life of a recluse for many years, is found dead, murdered. As
they investigate the killing, the police uncover some surprising things
about the dead man. The finger of suspicion soon falls on Nina, a
young journalist who was the last person to see Tach alive. It
appears that she has made a long and meticulous study of the writer's
past, in particular his first love affair with a woman named
Léopoldine, who mysteriously vanished some time ago...

The brighter side of Franz Kafka
In his letters to his friends and family, Franz Kafka gives us a rich self-portrait that is surprisingly upbeat, nor the angst-ridden soul we might expect.
