Film Synopsis
During a trip to Germany, Nathan Fabre visits the concentration camp at Buchenwald
and happens upon a photograph in which he vaguely recognises a face in the
background. The face bears an uncanny resemblance to that of Nathan's
father, so on his return to France he feels compelled to broach the subject
with his father, Adrien, over dinner. At first Adrien is reluctant
to say anything on the matter, but his son's persistence forces him to affirm
what Nathan already knows. The man in the photograph is his own father,
one of the unfortunates who was sent to Buchenwald during the Second World
War. Determined to find out more about the fate of his grandfather,
Nathan undertakes his own investigation and uncovers a tragic episode that
his family are understandably keen to forget...
