Film Synopsis
Having hidden some jewels in his car, the thief Carl Zimmerman narrowly
escapes death when his car is blown up by the hired killer Marco.
Attracted by easy money and hoping to evade his would-be assassin, Carl
flees to Beirut, with his friend Alfred posing as his
chauffeur. The two men decide to kidnap Grubert, a petrol
magnate, after he wins a fortune at the casino. Carl buys an
identical car to Grubert's and begins to observe him in the smallest
detail. He notices that Grubert is often accompanied by a young
blond woman. Her name is Salène, but when they begin a
romance Carl calls her 'grasshopper' because she is thin and has long
legs. Carl had almost forgotten about Marco when suddenly the
killer turns up. Marco offers to forget his contract if Carl
agrees to let him take part in Grubert's abduction. At the same
moment, Salène asks Carl to forget the kidnapping plan and
accompany her to Greece...
