Paul Tarset is a high-ranking French diplomat who is charged with
negotiating a trade deal worth billions with Bulgaria. Bohringer,
a leading French industrialist who stands to profit from the deal, puts
pressure on the diplomat to agree a massive subsidy. Tarset
refuses and, as a result, becomes the victim of an insidious blackmail
campaign. Unless he gives in to Bohringer's requests the
diplomat's compromising past will soon become public knowledge...
