Film Synopsis
Laura Siprien is a French interpreter who can have no idea what she is taking
on when she decides to adopt a baby boy of Mongolian origin, Liu-San.
All is well for the first few years, but then one day Laura notices a strange
mark has appeared on the boy's chest. Around this time, the two of
them begin to experience the same series of horrific nightmares. Unable
to account for this, Laura carries on with her life, although by now she
senses that both she and her adopted son are in great danger. Before
she sets off on a short assignment in Germany, Laura leaves the little boy
in the care of her friend Sybille Weber, the neurologist who tended to him
after his parents died.
Laura is driving to the airport when, to her incredulity, she notices Liu-San
hiding in the rear seat of her car. An eagle then appears from nowhere
and, seized by a sudden panic, Laura crashes her vehicle. Fortunately,
they both survive the accident, although the young woman is now starting
to wonder if she isn't going out of her mind. With the boy now in a
coma, Laura is surprised when she hears his voice on a recorder, in a language
she does not recognise. Her research leads her to discover that Liu-San
is speaking in the obscure dialect of a Mongolian tribe. It seems that
the boy is in the greatest of danger, as a group of sorcerers are determined
to get their hands on him for their own sinister purpose...
