To the east of Belgium lies the Land of Herve, a community caught in the grip of linguistic clashes and continual agricultural upheavals.  When his father dies a young farmer is faced with a terrible dilemma.  Should he stay and take charge of his father's farm or should he flee to the city and begin a new life, far from the struggles of the past...?
