Le Temps d'un regard (2007) Directed by Ilan Flammer
Comedy / Drama
Film Synopsis
One summer in Paris, the paths of three very different people are
destined to cross... Having given up his job on a momentary
impulse, Antoine spends his days aimlessly wandering the streets and
playing drafts with Monsieur Pic in his favourite café.
This café is owned by Madame Agnès, whose most loyal
customer, Monsieur Jules, sees something of himself in the much younger
Antoine. The third person in this story is Nathalie, a young
woman who is obsessed with the case of Howard Smith, a convicted
American who is to be executed in a few hours unless a reprieve is
granted...

The greatest French Films of all time
With so many great films to choose from, it's nigh on impossible to compile a short-list of the best 15 French films of all time - but here's our feeble attempt to do just that.
Franz Kafka's letters to his fiancée Felice Bauer not only reveal a soul in torment; they also give us a harrowing self-portrait of a man appalled by his own existence.
Science-fiction came into its own in B-movies of the 1950s, but it remains a respected and popular genre, bursting into the mainstream in the late 1970s.
