Félix is a nine-year-old boy who lives in a quiet district of Montreal.
At the end of the school year, he finds he is in love with Rebecca, a girl
who is older than him, but as he begins to bid farewell to his childhood
he suddenly becomes aware of all the dangers that surround him. As
his parents' relationship deteriorates, he becomes convinced that they are
going to get a divorce. His neighbours begin to frighten him and he
sees danger everywhere. He's even convinced he will contract AIDS.
As Félix becomes increasingly wrapped up in his imaginary fears, real
dangers begin to show themselves. Several young boys in his neighbourhood
are being kidnapped...
