To satisfy his grandfather's last wish, Jeff heads off for Corsica to
uncover a family secret, accompanied by his three childhood friends,
Medi, Willy and Seb. Following a misunderstanding involving the
ravishing Vanina, the four friends soon manage to get on the wrong side
of a very special Corsican family, the Campanas. To avenge the
honour of their sister, the latter have declared open season against
all Frenchmen. What began as a promising holiday on the Corsican
coast degenerates into a nightmarish chase which soon embroils
depressive policemen and trigger-happy hunters...

The best French Films of the 1920s
In the 1920s French cinema was at its most varied and stylish - witness the achievements of Abel Gance, Marcel L'Herbier, Jean Epstein and Jacques Feyder.
The cinema of Japan is noteworthy for its purity, subtlety and visual impact. The films of Ozu, Mizoguchi and Kurosawa are sublime masterpieces of film poetry.
It was American film noir and pulp fiction that kick-started the craze for thrillers in 1950s France and made it one of the most popular and enduring genres.
