Film Synopsis

In a small provincial town in the 1970s, Jean returns to school at the great old age of six.  When his teacher asks each of her pupils to tell her the profession of their parents Jean has no choice but to lie.  He says that his mother is a secretary, whereas in fact she is constantly away from home, travelling the world.  From time to time, Jean receives postcards from her, which are read to him by his neighbour, Michèle.  This autumn Jean finally begins to understand the truth...
