Film Synopsis
A former member of a French espionage agency, Stephan Borba seeks to
put his past behind him. He now leads a quiet life in Belgium
with his wife Denise, working as a miner. Meanwhile, his former
associates continue their activities, but are now divided into two
rival groups. One is managed by Milan and works for France; the
other is led by the group's original leader Lenzi and lends its
services to whoever offers the most money. Lenzi is not troubled
by a conscience and is assisted in his dubious activities by Edith, a
young adventuress who is not easily scared. To obtain some
documents in Lenzi's possession, Milan coerces Stephan into helping
him, threatening to harm Denise if he refuses. After a long and
violent run-around on Amsterdam's docks, Stephan finally manages to get
his hands on the precious documents and hides them deep in the mine
where he works. As Stephan forces Milan to exchange his wife for
the secret papers, Lenzi and Edith are pursued by the foreign power to
which they agreed to sell them...
