Film Synopsis

Lola is a seven year old girl who is at death's door.  The only thing that can save her is expensive surgical intervention, but her father, an old widower named Salvador, is too poor to afford the operation.   Lola's neighbours Lorenzo et Marcelina are willing to pay for the girl's medical treatment but Salvador is too proud to take their money.  He would rather see his daughter die than lose his honour...
