Film Synopsis

At Los Angeles airport, a party of French tourists have just arrived, brimming with excitement to begin their holiday of a lifetime on the sunny West Coast of the United States.  They are greeted by their young tour guide Mathias who has just received the news that their company, Dream Tours, has gone bankrupt and cannot provide a refund, let alone pay for the holiday.  Unable to bring this devastating news to his patrons, Mathias decides to keep it to himself and instead tries to supply them with their long-awaited dream holiday at his own expense.

Undeterred by the challenges that lie ahead of him, the enterprising tour guide finds a cheap substitute for an air-conditioned coach (namely a school bus) and arranges hotel accommodation, on the understanding that the holidaymakers must leave their hotel rooms at the crack of dawn, to spare Mathias the expense of paying for their board.  In the end, his own resources exhausted, Mathias, has no option but to come clean and appeal to the tourists' generosity to prevent the holiday from being a complete disaster.  Despite numerous setbacks and the occasional awkward brush with the law, this chaotic American adventure proves to be a success for one and all...
