Saint Amour (2016) Directed by Benoît Delépine, Gustave Kervern
Comedy / Drama
Film Synopsis
The relationship between Bruno and his father Jean has not improved since
the death of his mother, but they continue to attend agricultural shows together.
Whilst Jean proudly exhibits his prize-winning bull Nabuchodonosor, the rebellious
Bruno goes off on his own, happily sampling the wines. This year, Jean
decides to take his son on a proper wine trail, in the hope that this might
improve relations between them. Taking a taxi driven by an amiable young
man named Mike, they begin their grand tour with a stop at a guest house
run by a very strange individual. Later on, Mike offers some tips on
how to get food for free in a hotel. The weird excursion turns out
to be much more eventful and profitable than Jean had hoped...

The best of British film comedies
British cinema excels in comedy, from the genius of Will Hay to the camp lunacy of the Carry Ons.
Science-fiction came into its own in B-movies of the 1950s, but it remains a respected and popular genre, bursting into the mainstream in the late 1970s.
In the 1910s, French cinema led the way with a new industry which actively encouraged innovation. From the serials of Louis Feuillade to the first auteur pieces of Abel Gance, this decade is rich in cinematic marvels.
