Film Synopsis
Sam Friedman is a small-time record producer who dreams of making it big one day. His dream appears to come true when he stumbles across a pair of black musicians who have star potential: the brothers Puppet and Joe Bennett. He immediately takes the two musicians on, although Sam has to fleece his father-in-law to raise the necessary funds to pay off their greedy manager. Illegal immigrants and totally dependent on their manager, Puppet and Joe are destabilised by this arrangement. One night, Joe accidentally kills a prostitute. When Sam comes to collect him, he implicates himself in the killing...© James Travers
