Film Synopsis

When his pregnant wife Maureen is attacked by a neighbour, her husband Eddie reacts violently.  The result is that Eddie ends up being locked away in a psychiatric hospital and is not released until ten years later.  But, in the mean time, Maureen has made a new life for herself.  In addition to the daughter she had with Eddie, now nine years old, she has two other children and has remarried.  Eddie's love for Maureen is as strong as ever, and his return will prove to be an ordeal for his ex-wife...
