Sortez des rangs (1996) Directed by Jean-Denis Robert
Drama
aka: Fall Out
Film Synopsis
Michel and his mother live alone in the suburbs of Paris in 1919.
They are derided by their neighbours because Michel's father was shot
'as an example' during the 1917 mutinies of the First World War.
One evening, their neighbours' hostility gets out of hand and Michel's
mother is admitted to an asylum. Michel manages to get away as an
epidemic of Spanish flu breaks out. He sets out to find the
general who executed his father...
Since the 1920s, Hollywood has dominated the film industry, but that doesn't mean American cinema is all bad - America has produced so many great films that you could never watch them all in one lifetime.
Science-fiction came into its own in B-movies of the 1950s, but it remains a respected and popular genre, bursting into the mainstream in the late 1970s.
