After a failed suicide attempt, Lucas, a homeless young man, meets
Jacques, the grumpy owner of down-at-heel bar. Having already
survived five heart attacks, Jacques knows that his days are numbered
and he is therefore glad to take Lucas under his wing. At first,
the arrangement works out well for both men, but things go badly wrong
when Lucas falls in love with one of his customers, a ditzy airhostess
