Film Synopsis

A musical hall actress leads a miserable existence in New York, married to an odious man she cannot love.  After a domestic row, the man leaves her, taking with him their baby whom he gives away to a rich English couple.  Once she has become a great singer, the woman is finally reunited with her son, with the help of the lawyer she has fallen in love with.
