Un village presque parfait (2015) Directed by Stéphane Meunier
Comedy
Film Synopsis
Saint-Loin-la-Mauderne is a small village that is being hit hard by the
economic downturn. The village's only chance of survival is if
its salmon smoking factory can be given a new lease of life. For
this to happen the insurance company insists that there be a resident
doctor, but the local doctor retired more than five years ago and has
never been replaced. Supported by their charismatic mayor,
Germain, the villagers must persuade the city-loving Dr Maxime Meyer to
come to their rescue...
Franz Kafka's letters to his fiancée Felice Bauer not only reveal a soul in torment; they also give us a harrowing self-portrait of a man appalled by his own existence.
