Film Synopsis

Vito Catene, a young producer, is preparing a new film entitled 'Zanzibar'.  He hires Maréchal, an established filmmaker with several successes under his belt, to direct the film, and he selects Camille Dor, a well-known young actress, for the lead role.  Although Camille's name will make it easier to finance the film, Maréchal resents having to work with her.  Catene, who is in love with the actress, comes to her defence, but then he discovers she is taking drugs...
