Buster Keaton was an American actor whose birth name was Joseph Frank Keaton. He was born in Piqua, Kansas, USA on 4th October 1895 and died in Los Angeles, California, USA on 1st February 1966, aged 70.

His best films as an actor include Sherlock Jr. (1924), Donald Crisp's The Navigator (1924), Seven Chances (1925), Edward Sedgwick's Spite Marriage (1929) and Charles Chaplin's Limelight (1952), and whose best work as a film director include Our Hospitality (1923), Sherlock Jr. (1924) and The General (1927).

Buster Keaton appeared in 66 films, directed 16 films (including 1 short) and scripted 14 films.
