George Sanders was an English actor. He was born in Saint Petersburg, Russia on 3rd July 1906 and died in Castelldefels, Barcelona, Catalonia, Spain on 25th April 1972, aged 65.

His best films as an actor include Alfred Hitchcock's thriller Rebecca (1940), Albert Lewin's The Moon and Sixpence (1942), John Brahm's crime-thriller The Lodger (1944), Hangover Square (1945) and Joseph L. Mankiewicz's All About Eve (1950).
