Jean-Louis Richard was a French actor, screenwriter and film director. He was born in Paris, France on 17th May 1927 and died in Paris, France on 3rd June 2012, aged 85.

His best films as an actor include Pierre Grimblat's thriller Me faire ça à moi (1960), Arnaud Desplechin's La Sentinelle (1992), Jacques Rivette's Jeanne la Pucelle II - Les prisons (1994) and Emilie Deleuze's Mister V.
