Mel Brooks is an American actor, film director, screenwriter and producer whose birth name is Melvin James Kaminsky. He was born in Brooklyn, New York, USA on 28th June 1926.

His best films as an actor include Silent Movie (1976), High Anxiety (1977), Spaceballs (1987) and Life Stinks (1991), and whose best work as a film director include The Producers (1968), Young Frankenstein (1974) and Silent Movie (1976).
