Biography: life and films

Otto Preminger was an Austro-Hungarian-American film director. He was born in Wiznitz, Austria-Hungary on 5th December 1905 and died in New York City, New York, USA on 23rd April 1986, aged 80.

His best films as a film director include Laura (1944), Where the Sidewalk Ends (1950), Anatomy of a Murder (1959), Advise and Consent (1962) and Bunny Lake Is Missing (1965), and whose best work as an actor include Margin for Error (1943), David Butler's comedy They Got Me Covered (1943) and Billy Wilder's Stalag 17 (1953).
