Film Synopsis

One Christmas Eve, four complete strangers are brought together by chance for an evening that will have a lasting impact on all of their lives. Helly, a young prostitute, dreams of earning enough money so that she can reclaim the son that has been taken from her and now lives with a foster family. She is touting for customers when she runs into Didier, a taxi driver who has reached the end of his tether. He takes an instant liking to her and offers her dinner so that they can enjoy each others' company for an hour or two. Afterwards, Helly encounters two other people - Marie, a young woman who has just had a violent falling out with her boyfriend, and Chris, a drummer with a jazz band who has grown disillusioned with life. For all four of these unhappy souls this Christmas Eve will be a big event, marking the beginning of a new chapter in their lives...
