Aldo et Junior (1984) Directed by Patrick Schulmann
Comedy
Film Synopsis
Junior is the 18-year-old son of Senior, a wacky middle-aged drop-out
who hasn't yet surrendered his ideals that were forged in the heady era
of May 1968. Unlike his father, Junior is determined to make
something of his life. He intends to become a manager, a member
of the bourgeois elite of the kind that his socialist father
pathologically detests. With their diametrically opposed views on
life they are never going to see eye to eye, on
anything...

The very best American film comedies
American film comedy had its heyday in the 1920s and '30s, but it remains an important genre and has given American cinema some of its enduring classics.
The cinema of Japan is noteworthy for its purity, subtlety and visual impact. The films of Ozu, Mizoguchi and Kurosawa are sublime masterpieces of film poetry.
Continental Films, quality cinema under the Nazi Occupation
At the time of the Nazi Occupation of France during WWII, the German-run company Continental produced some of the finest films made in France in the 1940s.
