Film Synopsis

The year is 50 BC and the Romans have managed to conquer the whole of Gaul - all except one little village.  Having exhausted every means at his disposal to bring this last village to heel, the emperor Julius Caesar decides to try a different tack.  He orders a new Roman estate to be built immediately nextdoor to the troublesome village, one equipped with all the latest mod cons and conveniences.  How long will these unconquerable barbarians resist the temptations on their doorstep?  Astérix and Obélix have their work cut out for them this time if they are to thwart Caesar's most ingenious ploy yet...
