Film Synopsis

In Angers, a grand reception is being held in honour of a savings company that has just clocked up its millionth-million deposit.  Amidst the pomp and ceremony, Fritz Ducharrel, the spokesman for the savers, is to hand over a large cheque to the chief executives of the company.   During the festivities, Ducharrel happens to overhear a private conversation between two of the fund managers and learns that they intend to leave the country to avoid an impending crisis.  All becomes clearer when Ducharrel lays his hands on an incriminating document which reveals that someone is plotting to rob the depositers of all their savings...
