Cesare, the owner of a construction company, arrives back home after a
hard day's work to find that his young wife Marguerite, whom he
worships, has left him. Meanwhile, Pamela, a model wife and
mother who is devoted to her good works, receives a phone call from her
husband telling her that he has left her. It so happens that her
husband, a surgeon, treated Marguerite for appendicitis. Cesare
and Pamela get together and attempt to save each other's marriages...
