In 1988, Yacine is reluctant to leave his home in the suburbs of Paris to spend the summer in Algeria, his homeland.  Johnny Leclerc, his best friend, dreams of nothing else than beginning a new life as a Muslim in Algeria.   When Yacine finally decides to set out for Algeria, Johnny sees an ideal opportunity to realise his dream...
