aka: A Viennese Fantasy à la manière de Schnitzler
Film Synopsis
In Paris, 1900 the artist Gustav Klimt is feted at the Universal
Exhibition whilst he is condemned as a provocateur in his native
Vienna. Ahead of his time, his paintings reflect the way he lives
his life; his models are his muses, the women he
worships. In all of his work can be glimpsed the
artist's passionate relationships and his endless search for
perfection...
Franz Kafka's letters to his fiancée Felice Bauer not only reveal a soul in torment; they also give us a harrowing self-portrait of a man appalled by his own existence.
American film comedy had its heyday in the 1920s and '30s, but it remains an important genre and has given American cinema some of its enduring classics.
