Laurent Lamaison, a young plumber, falls in love with Dominique
Dupré-Granval, the daughter of a wealthy banker. When
Dominique's parents hear of this, they resolve to put an end to the
match, seeing that Laurent is a far less worthy son-in-law than the man they
had in mind. When he wins the jackpot on the
lottery, Laurent decides to have some fun at the Dupré-Granval's
expense...
