Film Synopsis
Cambodia, 1971. Whilst restoring ancient temples in Angkor, François Bizot, a French ethnologist, is captured by the Khmer Rouge. Held prisoner in a camp buried deep in the jungle, Bizot is accused of being a spy for the CIA. His only hope is to convince the young leader of the camp, Douch, that he is innocent. As he awaits his fate, the prisoner forges an indelible bond with his jailer.© James Travers
