Film Synopsis

Bernard Corain is an important French industrialist who frequently makes business trips across the Iron Curtain.  Prior to one of these trips, he is contacted by French secret services and invited to take part in a top secret mission.  Without attracting the attention of the authorities, he is to make contact with a senior civil servant who intends leaving East Germany so that he can defect to the West.  On the face of it, the mission appears straightfoward and Corain readily agrees to go along with it.  But once it is under way it soon becomes apparent that many unforeseen dangers lie ahead, and Corain may well be putting his life on the line...
