Jean-François Balmer is a Swiss actor. He was born in Valangin, Switzerland on 18th April 1946.

His best films as an actor include Alain Corneau's crime-thriller La Menace (1977), Jacques Bral's comedy-thriller Polar (1984), Charles Matton's La Lumière des étoiles mortes (1994), Raoul Ruiz's Ce jour-là (2003) and Jean-Jacques Grand-Jouan's Lucifer et moi (2009).
