Nymphomaniac (2013)
Directed by Lars von Trier

Drama

Film Synopsis

One cold winter's evening, a badly beaten woman is discovered in an alleyway by a middle-aged man named Seligman.  The latter, a diehard bachelor, takes pity on the woman and takes her back to his home so that he can tend to her injuries.  The woman introduces herself as Joe and feels she must unburden the story of her life.  She reveals to her attentive listener that from an early age she has always been obsessed with sex.  In fact, she describes herself as a nymphomaniac.  She recounts her early sexual experiences in graphic detail, and explains how these set her on her tragic course to where she is now, worn down but still at the mercy of an all-consuming addiction to lust that knows no bounds...
