On fait comme on a dit (2000) Directed by Philippe Bérenger
Comedy / Crime
Film Synopsis
Three friends, all in their thirties, are making preparations for what
they are sure will be the heist of the century. They intend to
rob a bank, aided by Séverine, the girlfriend of one of the men,
who works there as a cashier. Things get off to a bad start when
the would-be crooks lose their transport and end up having to take a
bus to the bank. After that, things go from bad to worse and it
soon becomes apparent that none of the three friends is suited for a
life of crime. It doesn't help when they are double-crossed by a
professional gangster...

The very best of the French New Wave
A wave of fresh talent in the late 1950s, early 1960s brought about a dramatic renaissance in French cinema, placing the auteur at the core of France's 7th art.
In the 1940s, the shadowy, skewed visual style of 1920s German expressionism was taken up by directors of American thrillers and psychological dramas, creating that distinctive film noir look.
